Steve's Tax Law Board Certification
August 5, 2019––The Florida Bar has recertified Steve's Tax Law Board Certification. Steve was among the first in the state to recieved a Tax Law Board Certification in 1983 and has held the distinction continously since he was initially certified. Board certified tax lawyers are lawyers who have practiced law for at least 5 years, or 4 years if the lawyer has an LL.M. degree in taxation; been substantially involved in tax law, defined as 500 hours or more per year, during the 3 year period immediately preceding application; been evaluated for competency, ethics, and professionalism by peers; completed 90 hous of continuing legal education within the 3-year period immediately preceding application; and, passed a written examination demonstrating knowledge, proficiency, and experience in the field of tax law to justify the representation of special competence in this area of law to the legal profession and to the public.

May 18, 2018––Our Associate Attorney, Eva, graduated with her second degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. She obtained her Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M.). The office watched the ceremony via live webcast. Now that she has finished her degree, she is back at the office and ready to work! She is looking forward to using the knowledge of tax law that she acquired in the LL.M. to help clients with their estate and tax planning.
